By accessing, browsing, or using the Ask Story of Us platform ("Service", "Platform", "we", "us", "our"), you ("User", "you") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operators of Ask Story of Us, two private individuals operating the TikTok channel @storyofus.my ("Operators").

2. Description of Service

Ask Story of Us is a free, AI-powered chatbot that provides relationship inspiration and general advice based on anonymised love stories voluntarily and publicly shared on the TikTok channel @storyofus.my. The Service is provided on a personal, non-commercial basis by private individuals and is not operated by any registered business, company, or legal entity.

3. Nature of AI-Generated Content

3.1 All content generated by this Service is produced by artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic's Claude) and is provided strictly for entertainment, inspiration, and general informational purposes only.

3.2 The Service does NOT provide professional advice of any kind including but not limited to relationship counselling, psychological advice, mental health support, medical advice, or legal advice.

3.3 Nothing communicated through this Service should be construed as a professional opinion, diagnosis, or recommendation.

3.4 The Operators are not licensed therapists, counsellors, psychologists, medical practitioners, or legal professionals.

3.5 You acknowledge that AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific circumstances.

3.6 You agree to use your own judgement and seek qualified professional help for any serious personal, mental health, relationship, or legal matter.

3.7 The Operators expressly disclaim any liability for decisions, actions, or consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated content from this Service.

4. Use of Third Party Content & Stories

4.1 The love stories referenced within this Service are sourced exclusively from videos voluntarily filmed, consented to, and publicly posted on the TikTok channel @storyofus.my by the individuals featured therein.

4.2 All stories are referenced in anonymised form within AI responses. No full names, addresses, contact details, or other personally identifying information of featured individuals are used or shared by the AI.

4.3 The Service directs users to publicly available TikTok content rather than reproducing it.

4.4 The Operators do not claim ownership over any individual's personal story, image, or likeness.

4.5 If you are an individual featured in our TikTok content and have concerns about how your story is referenced, please contact us immediately at meetcute.my@gmail.com and we will address your concern promptly.

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 You agree to use the Service solely for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes.

5.2 You must not use the Service to:

  • Harass, bully, defame, or harm any individual
  • Generate or distribute harmful, abusive, illegal, or offensive content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service
  • Circumvent or manipulate the AI system
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without prior written consent
  • Impersonate any person or entity

5.3 We reserve the right to terminate access to any user who violates these terms without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 The Ask Story of Us brand name, logo, design, interface, and original written content are the intellectual property of the Operators.

6.2 The AI technology powering this Service is owned by Anthropic. All rights reserved by Anthropic.

6.3 TikTok content featured or linked to remains the property of its respective creators and TikTok.

6.4 You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this platform without express written permission from the Operators.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

7.1 THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

7.2 THE OPERATORS MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

7.3 THE OPERATORS DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, COMPLETENESS, OR SUITABILITY OF ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT FOR ANY PURPOSE.

7.4 YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8.2 THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED ADVICE, LOSS OF DATA, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, OR ANY OTHER HARM.

8.3 THE OPERATORS' TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED MALAYSIAN RINGGIT ZERO (MYR 0.00) GIVEN THAT THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party rights.

10. Third Party Links & Services

The Service may contain links to third party platforms including TikTok. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party sites or services.

11. Mental Health & Crisis Disclaimer

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
